Gorata Manyaapelo McKinnon is a distinguished entrepreneur and the Managing Director of LC Mining Consumables, a company dedicated to providing high-quality essential supplies to the mining industry. With over a decade of extensive experience in business development within the Mining and Occupational Health & Safety sectors, she has established herself as a leading figure in these industries.

Notably, Mrs. McKinnon is recognized as the first, and possibly the only, woman to offer dust suppression services to the Botswana mining sector, catering to prominent clients such as Debswana, Lucara, and Morupule Coal Mine.She previously served as the Executive Director of Dust-Aside Botswana, a global leader in total dust management services for both opencast and underground mining operations.

In addition to her role at LC Mining Consumables, Mrs. McKinnon is a co-founder of TRM Group, a company accredited by the Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) and the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC), specializing in Occupational Health & Safety.

A testament to her commitment to excellence in the industry, she played a pivotal role in partnering with Specialized Exhibitions and the Botswana Chamber of Mines to fruition.
