Kefilwe Mokone is a seasoned Human Resource executive with over 15 years of experience across the people value chain. She is a highly motivated individual with a unique combination of strengths and skills spanning total reward management, organisational and operational effectiveness and design, strategy development and deployment, as well as culture and change management which encapsulates the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion portfolio. 

Kefilwe holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom, a Bachelors in Commerce from Griffith University, Brisbane Australia and is a member of the Human Capital Institute, Project Management Institute and the South African Reward Association.

She has led mining giant Debswana through strategies that transformed culture and placed the organisation in a leading position in all matters pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion. Her passion for diversity, equity and inclusion has cultivated a paradigm shift to open pathways for the inclusion of a significant pool of females in leadership positions and differently abled persons across Debswana’s operational sites. Kefilwe has made numerous presentations on the subject of culture, diversity, equity and inclusion across the De Beers Group of Companies and has been instrumental in the realisation of the creation of a stronger and more diverse workforce. This has robustly positioned Debswana as a truly inclusive and non-discriminatory workplace.

Her innovative solutions and strong business acumen were instrumental drivers of the seamless implementation and integration of the current Debswana Operating Model, which is designed to direct the execution of work across the enterprise, supporting people and asset performance. In addition, she has consistently led the development and implementation of impactful employee engagement strategies that have kept Debswana’s workforce aligned to the company goals.
