Kushatha Chilisa is the Head of Citizen Economic Empowerment Programs at Stanbic Bank Botswana. Chilisa has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise ranging from credit risk and governance to enterprise and supply chain development. 

The recent years of her career have been focused on financial inclusion, particularly citizen economic empowerment programs in Botswana. 

She is a pioneer in the citizen economic empowerment space in the Botswana market. Prior to joining Stanbic Bank Botswana, she ran an enterprise and supply chain development program  which delivered over BWP 800 million in funding under Debswana CEEP programs and provided entrepreneurship development training to over 3,500 recipients, representing hundreds of SMEs. 

As recognition for her work in this field and her passion in developing entrepreneurs and fostering strategic partnerships, she was voted amongst 2022/2023 Top 10 Strategic African Women in Leadership.

Kushatha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and Finance ( RMIT University) Post Grad Certificate in Business Administration (USQ University) and Prince2 certification.
